What a Weekend! A Huge Thank You to Everyone

Wow — what a weekend it’s been!

We started Sunday supper a little earlier than usual as we welcomed the amazing boys and girls from the Friends of the Northamptonshire Vespa & Lambretta Scooter Club.

The pub was honoured to be the starting point for their incredible Easter egg drop-off ride-out. There were some truly stunning scooters on show!

Yesterday the group visited:

2 children’s homes

3 care homes

2 wards at the hospital

Rothwell Food Bank

Before finishing with a brilliant Easter egg hunt at The Charter, Rothwell, for the kids.

A collection was also held for the gentleman who organised the event and is currently dealing with health issues.

A huge thank you to everyone involved — you really are spreading the love.

Ride safe, boys and girls. It was wonderful having you all.

 Sunday Lunch Service

We then rolled straight into a fully booked Sunday lunch. It was lovely to have you all in.

A quick apology to the first load of tables whose veg came out over al dente. As soon as the feedback reached the kitchen, it was fixed immediately.

The overnight roasted meats went down a storm, and our new, improved fresh Yorkshire puddings looked superb. Well done, team!

Sunday night brought our weekly bingo, which is quickly becoming a fantastic evening full of laughter and good fun.

 Monday 30th March – Monday Club

Today is Monday Club, your chance to enjoy great food at brilliant prices.

It’s now over 10 years old, and the ethos remains the same:

Clear the fridges, keep everything super fresh, and offer mains for under £10 — a perfect opportunity to try something new or enjoy your favourite for less than half price.

 Tuesday 31st March – Quiz Night

Our weekly quiz kicks off at 8pm, with Amy back as quizmaster.

There are 7 keys left to open the box, with £264.75 inside… could this be the week someone takes it home?

If it doesn’t go, we roll over to Spin the Wheel for a 50/50 shot at half the box (£132.38) with 6 keys in play.

Plus, over £50 is up for grabs in Play Your Cards Right.

Tuesdays remain our biggest charity night, bringing our current fundraising total to an incredible £15,514.89.

 Charity & Dementia Awareness

As many of you know, our current charity is Rare Dementia Support – The National Brain Appeal.

This Wednesday we’ve got exciting news about our dementia therapy cat, Jewel. She recently had a friend stay over… and you won’t believe what happened!

The bouncy castle is due to arrive Friday (weather permitting), and should be here for four days.

We’ll be serving food all day again, fingers crossed the sun joins us!

 Easter Sunday – Egg Hunts & Something New!

We’re running two Easter egg hunts, at 12pm and 3pm.

You don’t have to be dining to take part, but if you’d like the kids involved, let us know so we have plenty of treats ready.
